NIO may have obtained independent car manufacturing qualifications

　　On December 4, NIO Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd. appeared in MIIT’s "Vehicle Manufacturer Credit Information Management System". The company’s legal representative is Qin Lihong, catalog number 214, registered address "Building F, Hengchuang Intelligent Technology Park, No. 3963 Susong Road, Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hefei City, Anhui Province", and production address "No. 299 Baita Road, Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hefei City, Anhui Province". Based on this, the industry speculates that NIO has obtained independent production qualifications.

　　As a representative of the early new forces in car manufacturing, among the first echelon formed by "Wei Xiaoli", only NIO has not obtained the car manufacturing qualification for a long time, relying on Jianghuai Automobile for OEM production. Ideal and Xiaopeng obtained the production qualification by acquiring 100% equity of Chongqing Lifan Automobile Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Lifan Automobile, and 100% equity of Guangdong Fodi Automobile Co., Ltd., in 2018 and 2020 respectively. Today, with the continuous increase in new car sales and the full rollout of the charging and replacement network, NIO, which wants to "show its strength", is more eager to seek independent production qualifications.

　　On the evening of October 19 this year, Jianghuai Automobile issued the "Announcement on the Transfer of Some Assets by Public Listing", which intends to transfer some assets through public listing. The net book value of the assets to be transferred is about 4.2120194 billion yuan, and the assessed value of the assets to be transferred is about 4.4978626 billion yuan. The announcement shows that the transaction involves three asset packages including the inventory, fixed assets and projects under construction of the passenger car company; buildings, projects under construction and land use rights of the three factories; structures and equipment of the Xinqiao factory.

　　At that time, it was reported that the two factories involved were the Jianghuai NIO advanced manufacturing base and the Jianghuai NIO second advanced manufacturing base, namely the NIO F1 factory and the F2 factory. NIO may acquire the above assets to seek independent production qualifications. "The assets involved in this announcement are indeed related equipment and assets of the two factories cooperated by Jianghuai and NIO. This transfer will not have any impact on the normal market operations of Jianghuai and NIO companies." Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of NIO, said at the "NIO Manufacturing Day" held on October 20. "We will not disclose more information. We will communicate with you when it is convenient to tell you."
